BERUDEP HAS GOT A GRANT FROM THE TORCHBEARER FOUNDATION This grant is a corn mill. It has been set up in Muteff – Abuh. This has come as result of the good work of the group. Thank God that the corn mill has been installed and has started working.

This Month BERUDEP, receive visitors from Nigeria. The visitors were from Women For Sustainable Lives Association and OPN in Delta state Nigeria. The aim of their visit was to have some information in beekeeping Vetiver and Women’s work. We are very happy with their coming. We sent off the team of 4 to Nigeria on the 5th of March 2005

Also Bees Abroad also join the above team to visit us. Later, on the 17 – 19 March 2005 Ngwainmbi Simon was with Brian of Bees Abroad in Limbe.

ECO TOURISM DEPARTMENT RECEIVES TWO GUESTS.

BERUDEP Eco Tourism Department, received 2 female guests from Belgium. The Home stays families in Mbingo and Mbam that were chosen following BERUDEP’s poverty alleviation home stay programme benefited. The guests choose two homes to do their home stay, after finishing their program, they were so impressed and promised to come back. After every home stay, there is always a follow up to see that the beneficiary homes use the income as per the need analysis conducted.

BERUDEP Eco Tourism Department, did receive 1 guest from Austria and 6 guests from Germany who got information about the new department on our website and some from friends. The community in Njinikom and Mbingo were blessed with these guests. These identified homes that were chosen following our poverty alleviation home stay programme benefited. The guests were 4 men and 3 women, they did enjoy horse riding, visit to the Kom Palace and walks. After every home stay, there is always a follow up to see that the beneficiary homes use the income as per the need analysis conducted. More information next bulletin

BERUDEP DIRECTOR AND THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTOR PROUDLY OPEN BERUDEP CENTRE FOR REHABILITATION AND EDUCATION NJINIKOM

BERUDEP Njinikom now has a Rehabilitation Training Centre. This centre, started on the 22nd of January with two different types of craft: cane and bamboo work. All the three groups of people are involve that is, the widows, disables and orphans. BERUDEP Director and the Chairman of the board of director officially and proudly opened the centre on Saturday the 29th of January two thousand and five. After the official opening, there was singing, dancing and feasting by BERUDEP staff, orphans disables and widows and Njinikom population. The occasion was wonderful. So now every day work is going on in the centre. The first cane basket was sold during the opening with a certificate, and now three more are completed. Bamboo work, three items are also completed more are under constructions. More things are flowing into the centre.

NATURAL MEDICINAL PLANTS CLINICS, SOON TO BE OPENED.

BERUDEP from the 19th of March 2005 shall be opening Medicinal plants/tea Centres in Maryo-darle, Banyo and Tibati. These centres will help BERUDEP to continue with its mission of consultation and treatment using Natural Medicinal Plants.
